Coro Piccolo Karlsruhe
COROPICCOLO KARLSRUHE was founded in 1996 by Christian-Markus Raiser and consists of around 35 selected singers. During its existence, CoroPiccolo has made a name for itself with numerous performances in important churches, radio and CD recordings as well as regular concert tours beyond Karlsruhe and is one of the leading ensembles in the south-west. Numerous world premieres have been realised. The choir also frequently dedicates itself to works by Wolfgang Rihm. CoroPiccolo has experimented with electronic music and improvisation in collaboration with the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and the Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM). CoroPiccolo is a regular guest at the Karlsruhe Handel Festival and the ‘ZeitGenuss’ festival. Numerous concert tours have already taken the ensemble to Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain and Romania. In addition to regular collaborations with SWR, the great oratorios of Handel, Bach and Monteverdi are also regularly on the programme.
CHRISTIAN-MARKUS RAISER has been the cantor and organist of the Ev. Stadtkirche Karlsruhe, the episcopal church of the Ev. Landeskirche in Baden, since 1996. Under his direction, the Stadtkirche Karlsruhe has developed into a centre of church music for the city and region. He was appointed church music director in 2007. In 2022, he was awarded the Staufer Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
Raiser has given numerous concerts and performances at international music festivals at many important churches and organs in Germany and abroad. New music makes up a considerable part of his wide-ranging repertoire. He has premiered numerous works by various renowned composers. He also expands the scope of his artistic activities with his own compositions for a wide variety of ensembles.

Peter Lehel Quartet
PETER LEHEL, saxophone, composition
The saxophonist, composer and arranger Peter Lehel studied at the music academies in Stuttgart and Budapest. He works as a musician, composer and arranger with renowned jazz musicians and internationally renowned classical musicians.
His compositional output includes works for pure jazz formations (saxophone quartet/quintet, jazz ensemble, big band) as well as crossover projects for chamber music formations and orchestras. Concert tours have taken him to almost every continent. With his projects Peter Lehel Quartet, Finefones Saxophone Quartet, Jazz Ensemble Baden-Württemberg and the group Saltacello with pianist Peter Schindler, he can be heard regularly at jazz festivals and jazz clubs in South Korea, China and Taiwan. He was awarded the Jazz Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg (1997) and twice received the German Record Critics' Award (2000, 2006). In 2004 he received a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation, to whose jury he was appointed in 2008. In 2007 he became a visiting professor at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. Peter Lehel has a rich discography with diverse formations that transcend the boundaries of genres. His works and arrangements have been recorded on over 80 CDs and publications.

Bassist Dirk Blümlein loves many types of music and looks forward to everything that comes his way musically.

has a master degree from Jazzlinja ved NTNU in Trondheim, and currently lives in Oslo. In 2019, he released his debut album as a bandleader. Tomas Franck – Live in Copenhagen, recorded live at one of the finest jazzvenues in Europe, Jazzhus Montmartre. Live in Copenhagen was selected as Best Newcomer of the year by jazz journalist Hank Msiao (Taiwan) and received great response from the International press with positive reviews from Japan Jazz Magazine, Jazz Life Japan, Jazzthing Germany, JazzDK, and UK Vibe. His second release Motion featured Vigleik Storaas on piano and Bjørn Marius Hegge on bass. His third release as a bandleader, Momentum, featured Olga Konkova on piano, Erlend Vangen Kongtorp & Gisle Røen Johansen on saxophone, and Julian Haugland on bass. Concert tours have brought him to The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, England, Ireland, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Greece, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Beside his activities as a drummer and composer, he´s also teaching drums and is organizing and hosting
the concert series 'Lørdagsjazz på Rådhusteatret i Ski'. In march 2024 his fourth album as a bandleader, entitled 'New York Session', has been released on LP (limited edition) and all digital platforms, recorded in New York City featuring Nicole Glover, David Kikoski & Alexander Claffy, released on the newly founded label 'Heartbeat Music'.
